Lehman wins major on Champions Tour

Austin-born and Alexandria-raised Tom Lehman won "The Tradition" golf tournament over the weekend. "The Tradition" is one of the majors on the Champions Tour. Lehman fired a four-under-par-68 in yesterday's closing round to earn the victory for the second consecutive year. Lehman won 355-thousand-dollars in earning the win by two shots over Bernhard Langer. The tourney took place in Birmingham, Alabama, where it rained much of the day yesterday. Lehman admitted afterwards that he hates playing in the rain and feels fortunate to have won the event. The victory represents Lehman's third major victory in the Champions Tour.
