Letter: Left needs new game plan because voters are on to them, he says

TO THE EDITOR: While it isn’t polite to gloat, it was difficult not to hear millions of Wisconsinites doing the happy dance following the recall election.
The good people of Wisconsin proved once again that no amount of union thuggery or silly protests was going to stop them from doing the right thing.
Gov. Walker angered labor bosses by eliminating some of the collective-bargaining rights of the government unions to bargain with the state which, in effect, was eliminating the privilege to sit on both sides of the table and bargain with themselves.
The union bosses have always made one thing clear. It is not about the children, it has never been about the children, it has always been about protecting the power and profligacy of public employee union monopolies. Former National Education Association official John Lloyd’s words tell you everything you need to know about the NBA, “You cannot possibly understand the NBA without understanding Saul Alinsky. If you want to understand the NEA, go to the library and get ‘Rules for Radicals’.”
The Wisconsin electorate also disproved liberal rock star Bill Maher’s contention that American citizens are stupid. The American people and especially Wisconsin voters continue to prove that we are both fiscally intelligent and socially responsible.
When the public is treated like adults and issues are carefully explained to them, they make decisions that are in their family’s best interest.
The left has thrived on emotion and superficialities in selling uncontrolled spending and government expansion to the public. It appears as though they may need a new game plan because the intelligent Wisconsin voters are on to them.
