Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) is calling for national standards when it comes to boxing. He says the national rules would probably be based on Nevada's regulations. The comments from Reid come as he's pushing for an investigation into the controversial fight between Timothy Bradley and Manny Pacquiao. Recently the World Boxing Organization decided to look into the results of last weekend's fight. Promotor Bob Arum, who represents both fighters, submitted a request for inquiry on the judges' scoring on Monday. Bradley earned a split-decision victory over Pacquiao last Saturday night in Las Vegas. Bradley won on two of the judges' scorecards to capture the WBO welterweight title.
