MADISON - A member of the Spencer High School FFA has made history at his group’s state convention. Aaron Zimmerman received three State Star awards last night in Madison – and no member of the state’s agricultural education group had ever received more than one.

Zimmerman received the Wisconsin Star Farmer award, the Star-in-Agri-Science honor, and the Star-in-Agribusiness. He’s also part of the state officer team for the next school year. Andrew Heiman of the Marshfield FFA received the other star award, the Star in Agricultural Placement.

The convention wraps up today, and the incoming president will be named to replace Ethan Giebel for the coming year. The state’s top FFA chapter will also be named.
