TO THE EDITOR: Joy Spring Fling at Joy Lutheran Church in Prescott has flung for another year.

What a great day it was. We sold a lot of chicken, hot dogs, chips, pop, water and especially root beer floats. People enjoyed watching the popular magic show, all the kids having fun at the games and the Community Team Challenge event. The dunk tank was busy again. The kid’s treasures sale, bake sale and gift tree were a success, and the auction was entertaining and exciting, as always, with auctioneer Ken.

We want to commend all the volunteers who planned the event, worked on the games, worked as clerks, helped with setup and/or teardown, served in the kitchen, helped at the auction, sold food or goods, or did one of a hundred other tasks it takes to make this successful. We also want to recognize the people who donated items, those who purchased these items and those who just came to enjoy the day.

Joy should feel really good about Spring Fling 2012 and all you’ve done for Joy and the community through this work.
