PITTSBURGH - Minnesota's Josh Willingham clubbed a tie-breaking solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to lead the Twins in a 2-1 win over the Pirates last night in Pittsburgh.
Trevor Plouffe added an RBI single for Minnesota, which has won two-of-three on the heels of a four-game slide. Jared Burton recorded four outs to get the win in relief of Francisco Liriano. Glen Perkins closed it out to register his first save of the season.
Liam Hendriks gets the nod opposite James McDonald in tonight's series finale.
