Docotrs clear McClure to race Saturday at Road America
Wisconsin Sports-- Doctors have cleared NASCAR driver Eric McClure – and after six weeks off, he’ll return for Saturday’s Nationwide Series event at Elkhart Lake.
ELKHART LAKE - Doctors have cleared NASCAR driver Eric McClure – and after six weeks off, he’ll return for Saturday’s Nationwide Series event at Road America.
McClure has missed the last six races, after he had a concussion and internal bruises in a crash on May 5th at the Talladega Super-Speedway in Alabama. Jeff Green drove the No. 14 Toyota while McClure recovered. McClure says he’s “excited and thankful” to be racing again.
NASCAR’s Number-Two series is coming to eastern Wisconsin this weekend for the Sargento-200. It will be run Saturday at the four-mile Road America road course. Three drivers with Wisconsin ties are entered – Beloit-born Danica Patrick, Tim Schendel of Sparta, and Bill Prietzel of Richfield.
