AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 2008-4

ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE ROUTE ORDINANCE

A NEW SECTION IV WILL BE INCORPORATED INTO THIS ORDINANCE. ALL SECTIONS FOLLOWING THE NEW

SECTION IV WILL BE RENUMBERED.

SECTION IV – UTILITY TERRAIN VEHICLES

A. Any reference to All Terrain Vehicles in this ordinance

also applies to Utility Terrain Vehicles.

B. The Town of Ellsworth designates that All Terrain Ve-

hicle Routes, all Terrain Vehicle trails, and public All Terrain Vehicle corridors may be used by operators of Utility Terrain Vehicles per WI Stats 23.33(1m)(b)(1).

C. WI Stats 23.33(ng) defining Utility Terrain Vehicles, WI Stats 23.33(5) regarding Age Restrictions and Safety Certification Program and WI Stats 23.33(6) Equipment Requirements are adopted as part of this ordinance for all ATV and UTV operators.

SECTION X – EFFECTIVE DATE

The town clerk shall properly publish this ordinance as

required under WI Stats 60.80 and it becomes effective on July 1, 2012.
