LA CROSSE - La Crosse police report three more overdoses on heroin in the last three days. One overdose reported Thursday left a man dead.
An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. An anti-narcotic medication was used to revive 46-year old Brian Halverson at a La Crosse motel Friday night. The same medication was used to revive 19-year old Megan Running of Onalaska last Wednesday.
Police are warning users about an unusually potent supply of heroin being distributed in the area right now. Dealers from Chicago have reportedly move some of their operations to the La Crosse area, leading to three deaths so far this year.
