Triple-A Wisconsin says nearly 900,000 people will travel at least 50 miles in the state for today’s Fourth of July holiday.

Spokesperson Pam Moen says those numbers are up four percent from last year and are the highest for a Fourth of July in almost a decade.

While some travelers are flying, the vast majority will be driving. Traffic volumes are expected to be high today and tomorrow.
