Kenseth tries to hold onto points advantage

DAYTONA, Fla. - Matt Kenseth of Cambridge will try to keep his season points’ lead this weekend in NASCAR’s top circuit. Kenseth has an 11-point edge over Dale Earnhardt Jr. going into the Coke Zero-400 tomorrow night at Daytona.
Qualifying takes place this afternoon. Kenseth was 12th in yesterday’s second practice run, with a one-lap speed of 196.872 miles an hour. Travis Kvapil of Janesville was fourth in that same run at 197.425. Paul Menard of Eau Claire is also entered for the 400.
In the Nationwide Series, Beloit-born Danica Patrick will compete in the Subway Jalapeno-250 tonight at Daytona. The Camping World Truck Series is off until next weekend.
