UPDATE: I-94 cleared after accident involving county vehicle

Authorities at the scene said witness accounts made it appear 64-year-old Ronald Oldenberger of Eau Claire may have experienced a medical problem prior to side-swiping a second eastbound semi-rig, then veering into the median and overturning. The tractor, pulling a dry material tanker trailer, came to rest on its side partially blocking the westbound passing lane.
The State Patrol said the other truck involved was a 2008 Great Dane tractor driven by Ronald L. Fivecoat, 43, from Douglas, Wyom. He was not injured.
The crash occurred about 8:40 a.m. As of 10 a.m., most of the wreckage had been cleared and the State Patrol was awaiting the arrival of another heavy wrecker from St. Paul to finish the job.
Hudson Fire and St. Croix EMS & Rescue personnnel had to free the driver from the overturned tractor. An officer at the scene said the man was moving but appeared disoriented and ill or injured.
The Mack semi-tractor came to rest with the driver's side door resting on on top of the center median wall while the trailer fell over the median wall and lay on the westbound side of the freeway.
Officers later caught up with the second unit involved with the crash. That truck reportedly had a flat tire but little other damage.
Both east- and westbound traffic were backed up for several miles by lane closures associated with the crash.
A Jerry's Towing heavy duty wrecker and crane arrived on the scene by 9:15 a.m. and all wreckage was cleared by about 10:40 a.m., the Patrol reported.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The crash remains under investigation.
