PLUM CITY--American Legion Post #365, Plum City, has completed their plans to celebrate the 54th Summer Festival.

The dates of this year’s event will be Thursday-Sunday, July 19-22. This major area festival is always scheduled on the third full weekend in July.

The festival begins at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, when the fun begins with youth baseball, an antique tractor display, old-fashioned pie and ice cream social, official “Flag Disposal Ceremony,” bingo and music for all to enjoy. Special treats will be pork chops on-a-stick, steaks on-a-stick, pizza by-the-slice, tacos in-a-bag and more.

Friday, the weekend comes to life as the 16-team softball tournament begins at 6 p.m. Games are scheduled throughout the entire weekend. Plum City’s famous “Classic Car Cruise” is set for 7:15 p.m. Those in attendance are able to view over 100 “High Value Vehicles.”

This year following the car cruise, everyone is invited to join their friends and neighbors in the Community Shelter at American Legion Park to enjoy Plum City’s own “The Dating Game.” Local couples will take center stage. Post #365 maintains Friday Night as “Family Night” and, this year, everyone will be entertained by “The Boogie Men,” as they put on their show and allow “Open Mic” at times throughout the evening.
