TO THE EDITOR: Mr. O’Boyle’s recent article regarding what he says it takes to be a District Attorney appalled me.

How much experience did he have at 29 years of age, and just three years out of law school, when he was first elected? How much experience as a judge did he have two years ago when he tried to get elected to that position?

Mr. O’Boyle spoke of his “compassion”; the only “compassion” he showed in my case was, and is still, toward my ex-wife/accuser. He and my accuser are on each other’s Facebook friends lists.

Kenneth Kratz, DA of Calumet County, resigned his job when he was caught “sexting” to women whose significant others he prosecuted. Why is it okay for Mr. O’Boyle to befriend my accuser, and not okay for Mr. Kratz? Check out Mr. O’Boyle’s Facebook page for comments he has made about defendants.

Ask Mr. O’Boyle how his experience as District Attorney enabled him to hire Assistant District Attorney Greg Amann, whose name appears annually in the delinquent tax lists, who was involved in a questionable deal on property purchased by the county for expansion, who failed to report a motorcycle accident until the next day and who received a DWI from the State Patrol.

Pierce County needs a change in the District Attorney’s Office. Sean Froelich is just that change. Sean Froelich has the support of both River Falls Police and Pierce County Sheriff’s Officers. Vote for Sean on Aug. 14.
