Church in Pierce County hosts benefit for lung cancer patient

LUND—A Lund church is holding a benefit for a parishioner who’s dealing with cancer for a second time.
Sabylund Lutheran Church will host the benefit for Jon Anderson Saturday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Pepin Park Pavilion in Pepin. Anderson was diagnosed with lung cancer this spring, according to his wife, Tammy.
“Sixteen years ago, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma,” she said Wednesday, a cancer from which he’s since recovered.
