BID OPENING: 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012.

Notice is hereby given that Pierce County will receive proposals for the PIERCE COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING PARKING LOT LIGHTING REPLACEMENT project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In general the project consists of the replacement of the existing poles and luminaires.

Plans and detailed specifications will be available by email upon request from the Designer. Bidding documents will be available on or after July 5, 2012 in the form of PDF’s from the Designer, address listed above. Documents can also be viewed at the Pierce County Maintenance Office at 428 Grove St. Ellsworth, WI.

Proposals are invited for the complete project under ONE PRIME CONTRACT. The proposals shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the specification. A 5% bid security will be required to be submitted with the bid, in the form of a bid bond or a certified check.

Payment and performance bonds will be required for this project; also, lien waivers will be required to be submitted with each pay request.

Bids shall be received by OWNER until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 when they will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Pierce County Maintenance Office, at the Grove Street address listed above. Proposals sent by mail shall be addressed to: Attn: Scott Walker, Maintenance Supervisor, Pierce County, 414 Main St., Ellsworth, WI 54011

Notice: FAX or EMAIL bids will not be accepted.

Pre-Bid Tour: A mandatory pre-bid inspection is scheduled for Tuesday July 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the project site All interested bidders must attend.

Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein and award the bid in best interest of the District.
