Disabled hunters have only a few weeks to secure their spots for the annual deer hunt

Wisconsin Outdoors
-- Wisconsin’s disabled hunters only have a few weeks to secure their spots for a special deer hunt in October.

Wisconsin’s disabled hunters only have a few weeks to secure their spots for a special deer hunt in October. The D-N-R is urging disabled hunters to contact landowners to get on their list, if they’re not already. Landowners must submit their lists of participating hunters to the D-N-R by September first. The agency’s Web site has a list of the landowners who are involved. This is the 22nd year of the special hunt, which gives disabled residents a chance to enjoy deer hunting when the weather is still mild. The season runs from October sixth-through-14th.
