Allina grants $1,000 to 'Faces of Diabetes'

Allina Health has made a $1,000 contribution to the sponsors of the “Faces of Diabetes,” a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The contribution was recommended by a committee of River Falls Area Hospital employees and designated for Have A Heart’s respite program.  

The fundraising event will be July 21 at Vino in the Valley in Maiden Rock.

“In addition to raising awareness, our goal is to raise $20,000 to help find a cure for the diabetes,” explained Darla Walter, an employee of the hospital and one of the adults helping to organize the event.
