ANOKA, Minn. - The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is hoping new DNA evidence will help crack a case that's nearly 25 years old.
The body of Armonjean Mason was found along a road in Columbus on December 2nd, 1987. The 40-year-old mother of two had been strangled and stabbed, and there was evidence her hands and feet had been bound.
Authorities say DNA tests point to a "person of interest" but that's not enough to arrest the person who's refusing to talk to police. So it's hoped the new evidence will help bring forward people who have information about the case.
