Change has been the theme for the Pierce County Board of Supervisors, as seven new members and an administrative coordinator have all started within the last seven months.
With that in mind, the board agreed Tuesday to a teambuilding session to create a stronger, more cohesive and effective board, explained Administrative Coordinator Jo Ann Miller.
The facilitators will be Connie Foster, former UW-River Falls chancellor, and Dan Woll, former superintendent of area schools. The first session is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27.
Miller recommended having up to three sessions, with the follow-ups dealing with strategic planning. Other issues for the first session would be defining the role of board members, administration and providing processes to get their questions answered.
