Western Wisconsin News-- A 90-year-old Eau Claire man has been charged with two felonies for driving his vehicle down a bike path and killing a cyclist.
EAU CLAIRE - A 90-year-old Eau Claire man has been charged with two felonies for driving his vehicle down a bike path and killing a cyclist.
Archie Vanwormer is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday, after he was charged yesterday with negligent homicide and hit-and-run while causing death.
Authorities said Vanwormer was driving on a bike path next to Highway 12 in Eau Claire when he struck Kirk Cartwright’s bike from behind and dragged him for 200-feet. It happened on June 29th.
