AKRON, Ohio - Steve Stricker of Madison and Pewaukee native Mark Wilson are among 78 top players in the World Golf Championships’ latest event at the Bridgestone Invitational.
Stricker and Wilson were both scheduled to start their first rounds during the noon hour at the Bridgestone Invitational. Carl Pettersson, K.T. Kim, and Charl Schwartzel had the mid-morning lead at three-under-par. Other golfers are competing in the Reno-Tahoe Open which started this morning. But nobody from Wisconsin is in that tournament.
