Stricker tied for eighth after second round of Bridgestone Invitational

AKRON, Ohio - A second straight two under par 68 boosted Wisconsin golfer Steve Stricker into a tie for eighth place at the World Golf Championships' Bridgestone Invitational.

At four under par, Stricker trails second round leader Jim Furyk by seven shots.

Pewaukee native Mark Wilson is tied for 48th at three over par. He shot a one-over 71 Friday.

Four golfers are tied for the top spot at this weekend's 3M Championship at seven under par. Chien Soon Lu, Steve Pate, Gil Morgan and Peter Senior all shot 65s. The only Wisconsin golfer in the field, Rhinelander native Dan Forsman, is tied for 20th, four shots back at three under par.
