CLEVELAND -- The Minnesota Twins scored three times in the ninth inning to rally past the Indians 7-5 last (Tues) night at Progressive Field.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka hit the go-ahead sacrifice fly off Cleveland closer Chris Perez. Twins reliever Tyler Robertson pitched two innings for his first career win and Glenn Perkins picked up his seventh save. Minnesota trailed 5-1 after six innings and added three runs in the seventh before completing the comeback victory in the ninth. Twins starter Samuel Deduno only lasted four innings, allowing four runs on five hits with five walks.

Ben Revere extended his hitting streak to 21 games with an RBI-single in the first inning. The Twins go for the three-game sweep at Cleveland this afternoon (11 a.m. start).

Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe took some ground balls and ran the bases at Target Field Tuesday afternoon. Manager Ron Gardenhire says Plouffe will swing in the cages today (Wed) and if it goes well is expected to take batting practice on the field Thursday. Plouffe has been on the disabled list with a bruised nerve in his right thumb since July 21st. He says he's been managing the pain with medication and treatment. Jamey Carroll has been starting at third since Danny Valencia was traded to the Red Sox. There is a slight chance Plouffe could be activated for Friday's home game against the Rays.
