CLIFTON TWP. - Debbie Hunter is obviously pleased the Prescott High School girls' golf team returns three letter winners for the upcoming season. But even more pleasing to the Cardinals' head coach is the return of a huge freshman class which is a now a huge sophomore class.

"The more you play the better you get and these girls have played a lot this summer and have gotten memberships here at Clifton Highlands," Hunter said. "They were just beginners last season but now they are a year older in both age and golf experience and I believe its going to make for a better team."

PHS moved out of the league cellar last season, finishing seventh and moved up in regional placing as well. Given their experience Hunter and the team expected the upward movement to continue.
