Congressman Ryan tabbed to be GOP VP nominee
Wisconsin News-- Congressman Paul Ryan became the first Wisconsinite ever to be on a national political ticket among the two major political parties as Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney has chosen him to be the Republican Vice-Presidential nominee.
WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman Paul Ryan became the first Wisconsinite ever to be on a national political ticket among the two major political parties as Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney has chosen him to be the Republican Vice-Presidential nominee.
Ryan joined Romney Saturday morning at a campaign stop in Norfolk, Virginia for the announcement.
The Janesville native became a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1999 representing the First Congressional District in south-central and far southeast Wisconsin. He came into prominence nationally by crafting his own Federal budget which the Romney campaign will make a major part of its pitch this fall.
