AFTON - Authorities say a body recovered from the Saint Croix River near Afton on Sunday is that of a snowmobiler missing for over two years.
Investigators say a snowmobile driven by 28-year-old Timothy Pease fell into open water in February of 2010. Crews recovered the sled at that time but were unable to locate the victim's body.
This weekend two juveniles saw what they thought was a body in the river and they called their parents who contacted 911.
