La Crosse advances to Northwoods League finals
Wisconsin Sports-- The La Crosse Loggers have advanced to the Northwoods League title series, after sweeping the Wisconsin Woodchucks with an 8-7 home victory in 11 innings last night.
LA CROSSE - The La Crosse Loggers have advanced to the Northwoods League title series, after sweeping the Wisconsin Woodchucks with an 8-7 home victory in 11 innings last night.
The Loggers tied the game by scoring three runs in the bottom of the ninth. And Jimmy Bosco hit a walk-off single with the bases loaded in the 11th, to give La Crosse a two-game sweep of its best-of-three South Division Finals.
But they’re not sure who they’ll play yet in the finals. Willmar, Minn. shut out the Mankato Moon-Dogs in Mankato 4-0 last night, to tie the North Division Finals at a game-apiece. The deciding contest will be held tonight in Mankato, and the title series is scheduled to begin tomorrow night.
