The body of a three-year-old girl who went missing Tuesday night in Danbury Wisconsin, about an hour south of Duluth, was found late Wednesday afternoon. A dive team recovered the body of Renna Williams in a shallow canal about 25 yards from her home. Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland says the investigation remains open until they can determine it's not criminal in nature. He says it's a tragic situation and a precious life has been lost
Renna allegedly wandered away from her home in search of a dog. Relatives say Renna's mother was inside sleeping when she went missing and her father had gone inside to get a drink. Sheriff Roland says the canal will be drained in hopes of finding evidence to help explain what might have happened. An autopsy is planned. A Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and K-9 team helped in the search.
