MANKATO, Minn. - The Minnesota Vikings are headed north after wrapping up their training camp in Mankato Wednesday.
The Viking players reported to Minnesota State University July 26th and have been practicing on the campus for the past three weeks but now will move to Winter Park as they continue to prepare for Friday's pre-season game against the Buffalo Bills. The season opener is September 9th against Jacksonville.
Running back Adrian Peterson was in pads yesterday for the second straight day as he continues his comeback from a knee injury. While Peterson is going through drills at full-speed, the defense is not allowed to hit him yet. Coach Leslie Frazier said he and this staff will keep evaluating his progress and decide when he can go through contact.
