Sunday State Sports Briefs: Badger gridders hold scrimmage Saturday
Wisconsin Sports- Six players missed a scrimmage Saturday for the University of Wisconsin football team.
MADISON - Six players missed a scrimmage Saturday for the University of Wisconsin football team.
Tight end Sam Arneson, linebackers Vince Biegel, defensive end Tyler Dippel, linebacker A.J. Fenton, defensive tackle Bryce Gilbert and linebacker Mike Taylor were idled by injuries. Dippel was out of his protective boot yesterday after missing time with a sprained right ankle. Arneson will have minor knee surgery.
Three freshmen are expected to see playing time this season – tailback Vonte Jackson, wide receiver Reggie Love and offensive lineman Dan Voltz. Jackson will be on special teams units for the Badgers.
