Stricker knocked back on leaderboard after third round

-- Wisconsin golfer Steve Stricker’s two over par 73 Saturday knocked him back into a tie for 32nd going into today’s final round at The Barclays.

NEW YORK - Wisconsin golfer Steve Stricker’s two over par 73 Saturday knocked him back into a tie for 32nd going into today’s final round at The Barclays.

Stricker is 10 shots behind third-round leader Sergio Garcia at even par for the first three. Garcia has a two-shot lead over Nick Watney in the this first leg of the four-tournament Fed Ex Cup playoffs. Tiger Woods is lurking a half-dozen shots back in 10th place.

Rhinelander native Dan Forsman shot a one under par 71 at the Boeing Classic in suburban Seattle Saturday, moving into a tie for 34th place going into today’s final round. Forsman trails the leader, Tom Jenkins, by eight shots. Forsman is also one under par for the first two rounds of the three-day tournament.
