LAS VEGAS -- The University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Football team opens the season tonight in Las Vegas against UNLV.

The Gophers, under second-year head coach Jerry Kill, look to rebound from a 3-9 season last year. Tonight marks the first time Minnesota and UNLV have met on the football field, the Runnin Rebels went 2-10 last season, the second under coach Bobby Houck, and have new offense and defensive coordinators.

This is the fourth straight season that Minnesota will open the year on the road, last year they opened with a 19-17 loss at USC Kick-off tonight is at 10 p.m. Minnesota time and the game will be broadcast by the CBS Sports Network.
