Prescott hopes to build a winning streak over Somerset
It’s no secret Somerset High School has had more success than Prescott in football since both schools moved up from the Dunn-St. Croix Conference to the Middle Border in 2002. Yet it’s not like the Cardinals haven’t been competitive though and when they finally beat the Spartans last season for the first time since both squads were in the D-SC, it was a hopeful sign the Redbirds can be more than just .500 range squad.

“We’re in a spot now where we’re no gimme for any program in the league and at the same time we can’t take anything for granted,” PHS head coach Matt Smith said. “Every game in the league is going to be a fight for us to get in the postseason and we’re going to be on the edge all season. But it will certainly have us ready to play with our good team.”
