CHICAGO -- Chicago's Gordon Beckham hit a two-run homer and finished with three RBIs as the White Sox doubled up Minnesota 4-2 in the Windy City last night.
Paul Konerko added an RBI-single for Chicago, which regained control of the AL Central over Detroit by one game after the Tigers lost to Cleveland yesterday. Hector Santiago allowed one run over five-plus innings for the win while Addison Reed picked up his 25th save. Samuel Deduno suffered the loss for the Twins after allowing two runs across six innings.
Jamey Carroll hit a solo homer and Justin Morneau drove in a run for Minnesota, which has lost back-to-back contests. Carroll's homer was his first in more than 1,400 at-bats. The same two teams play tonight at 7:10 p.m.
