Chippewa Valley Technical College will hold a class in River Falls to meet the training requirements necessary to receive a concealed carry license.
The class will be held this Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in Room 114 of CVTC’s River Falls Campus, located at 500 S. Wasson Ln., River Falls.
The instructor is Judi A. Anibas, a certified Department of Justice (DOJ) firearms instructor.
This four-hour course will fulfill the training portion of the law. Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate will be issued to the student. This certificate then needs to be submitted to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for issuance of the actual permit.
The course consists of lecture and a hands-on demonstration. In order to successfully complete this course, the student must pass a written exam and display proficiency in the loading and unloading of a firearm. A student manual and other material will be provided in class.
No personal weapons are allowed in the classroom.
