UPDATE: Prescott bank robbery - Masked suspect flees on bicycle
A single individual dressed in camouflage and wearing a mask entered the M&I Bank in Prescott Friday and demanded money from two tellers and a customer. No weapon was displayed. The robber was observed leaving the bank on a bicycle.
PRESCOTT - On Friday, September 7, 2012 at 12:46 pm, the M&I Bank at 1049 Campbell Street in Prescott was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.
A single individual dressed in camouflage and wearing a mask entered the bank and demanded money from two tellers and a customer. No weapon was displayed. The robber was observed leaving the bank on a bicycle.
The suspect is a male in his early 20s about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing a brown and green hooded camouflage jacket, pants and a mask. He was also wearing sunglasses.
“We are confident that the suspect is no longer in the area and there is no cause for alarm,” said Chief of Police Mike R. Bondarenko.
The case is being investigated by the Prescott Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
City police officers were assisted at the scene by Pierce County sheriff’s deputies.
