Marqueis Gray was a one-man wrecking machine for the U as he rushed for 109 yards and threw for 100. His 75-yard TD run from scrimmage in the first quarter shortly after New Hampshire, 1-1 overall, had scored its first TD helped send the Gophers on their way to a big win. Gray also threw touchdown passes of 27-, 2- and 11 yards.
Isaac Fruchette caught two passes or 53 yards, including a 27-yard TD pass.
Minnesota's defensive line put intense pressure on New Hampshire's spread offense, never letting them set themselves into any kind rhythm.
Unbeaten Minnesota is at home again next Saturday against Western Michigan.
