Human Services finalists announced

Pierce County announced the four finalists last week for the vacant Human Services Director position.

Pierce County announced the four finalists last week for the vacant Human Services Director position.

Two of the candidates are internal. Ronald Kiesler is the current Community Behavior Health Manager for Pierce County. Julie Krings is one of the co-managers for the Child, Youth and Families department.

The third candidate is Ronald Schmidt, who works at the Clark County Department of Social Services in Neillsville, Wis., The final nominee is Ken Jensen, who works for the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services in Santa Barbara, California.

Administrative Coordinator JoAnn Miller said Thursday the County’s goal is for the selector to start around the first part of October.

Pierce County has been searching for a new Human Services Director since Tammy Kincaid resigned last month to take a job as a professor at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
