GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers have won four straight games over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field – and they’ll try to make it five straight tomorrow night.
The Packers have won six-of-their-last-seven regular season contests against their rivals from the south. And they’re favored by six as the Pack hopes to recover from its Opening Day home loss to San Francisco. The Bears come in on a roll, after crushing Indianapolis last Sunday. The Chicago offense, spurred by newly-acquired receiver Brandon Marshall, put up 41 points against the Colts – but the Bears have averaged only 14 points in each of its last nine games against the Packers.
Cedric Benson will start at running back again, in place of the injured James Starks. Benson ran for only 18 yards against the 49’ers, and he hopes to get a fast start against the Bears, who released him in 2008. Meanwhile, receiver Donald Driver hopes to get more playing time tomorrow. He was left out of the game plan against the 49’ers, and he was on the field for just three plays after Greg Jennings injured a groin. The veteran Driver said it was hard to stomach – but he knows he’ll get his opportunity sometime this season.
