Utah State game becomes a big one for Badgers

MADISON - Even though Utah State has the better record, the University of Wisconsin football team is still a 13 and a half point favorite for tonight’s non-conference game at Camp Randall Stadium.
It’s expected to be a perfect night for college football, with clear skies and temperatures in the low to mid-60s. Wind won’t be a factor.
Wisconsin is averaging a disappointing 101 yards rushing per game, ranking 96th in the country. One thing which would make things better for UW is getting Heisman Trophy candidate Montee Ball going. After setting records for rushing touchdowns last season, Ball has scored one rushing touchdown in two games so far.
The Aggies bring a 2-0 record into the contest with a 7 p.m. CDT kickoff. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema is leaving open the possibility that receiver Jared Abbrederis will play against Utah State tomorrow night in Madison. Abbrederis is getting over a concussion from last week – and he took part in yesterday’s practice without having live contact. Coach Bret Bielema said the junior Abbrederis attended some meetings this week – although players with concussions are normally sent home to recover. Players and coaches indicated early in the week that Abbrederis would not be available to play against Utah State. But Bielema said after last night’s practice quote, “I just have a hunch he’s probably going to find his way out there.” The Badgers take a 1-1 record into tomorrow night’s contest. Utah State comes in a 2-0.
