HUDSON - St. Croix County officials will meet tomorrow morning to discuss the future of the county nursing home.
Three options for the St. Croix County Health Center-Nursing Home will be considered – building a new facility, closing or selling the existing location, or leaving things as they are, while reducing operating expenses. The health and human services board will choose one at tomorrow’s meeting, but the final decision will be made by the county board of supervisors. The nursing home in New Richmond could need up to one and a half million dollars to operate next year.
A referendum taken last April say 63 percent of voters saying the county should continue to operate the facility.
