Red Wing mom finds scissor blades in bag of hamburger buns

RED WING - A mother making sandwiches for her kids found scissor blades in her bag of hamburger buns.

Red Wing Police Chief Tim Sletten says the buns were purchased at EconoFoods in Red Wing in the Burnside area of town September 2nd. He says the woman had already given a couple of buns to the kids, then cut another one open and saw the blades.

Sletten says surveillance video shows a boy between the ages of 10 and 13 messing with a stack of buns around 8pm on August 30th. He then took something out of his pocket, placed it into the packet of buns and walked out. Sletten says the boy had a brown crewcut, medium build, and was wearing an orange tank top, black shorts and shoes. Anyone with information should contact Red Wing police.
