Look for a new exhibits building to be open on the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth in time for next year’s fair.
Fair Coordinator Ann Webb said a construction bid has been accepted for the building, to be built on a now-vacant site adjacent to the Junior 4-H Horse Barn and east of the Seyforth Building. The site was once occupied by a Quonset hut, which served to house poultry and other animals in the past, and was used for storage just before being torn down.
