Ellsworth Funsters’ efforts for kids now include pumpkin party

The Ellsworth Funsters have long been known for efforts in the interest of kids.
Their latest such effort is taking on the Pumpkin Party in the Park for the first time. It’s an event the local chamber of commerce has organized in recent past years and will continue to provide assistance.
Matt Feuerhelm of the Funsters discussed party preparations with chamber members Thursday. Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the East End Park outing’s features include having people bring carved pumpkins for judging, opening the park’s cabin to teach young party goers how to Trick-or-Treat, pumpkin painting, a costume parade and treats--hot dogs, chips, apple cider, caramel apples and popcorn balls.
