SPARTA, Ken. - Austin Dillon was the winner of the first-ever daytime race at Kentucky Speedway.
He started on the pole and eventually retook the lead on Lap 151, holding off runner-up Sam Hornish Junior to win the Kentucky 300 in Sparta. Previous points leader Ricky Stenhouse Junior was knocked out of the top spot by Elliott Sadler when Stenhouse finished 17th.
The only driver in the field with a Wisconsin connection was Danica Patrick. She drove the GoDaddy.com number-seven car to a 14th place finish.
