New Hwy. 61 bridge slowly being moved into place
The new Highway 61 bridge in Hastings continues to be slowly moved into place by construction crews here. It should be in place sometime this afternoon so that it can be lifted into place overnight tonight.

HASTINGS - The new Highway 61 bridge in Hastings continues to be slowly moved into place by construction crews here. It should be in place sometime this afternoon so that it can be lifted into place overnight tonight.
Live video is streaming now and will conclude for the day around noon. We will resume our coverage overnight tonight as the span is lifted into place. The span will be lifted about 50 feet using four enormous jacks and more than 200 cables.
