Howard "Howie" D. Anderson, age 62, of Maiden Rock, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 21, at his home.

Howard "Howie" D. Anderson, age 62, of Maiden Rock, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 21, at his home.

He was born the son of Lyle and Marjorie (Rundquist) Anderson on April 10, 1950, in Plum City. He attended Pepin High School, graduating with the class of 1968. After high school, he joined the National Guard. Howie worked for Wieser Concrete and the Pierce County Highway Department.

He was a member of the Plum City and Maiden Rock American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, socializing with family and friends, and tinkering with cars and tractors. He loved spending time on his Harley. Howie was a humble, generous man who truly cared for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Anderson; wife, Connie Anderson; and infant brother, Don Lynn Anderson.

He is survived by his children, Terri (Dave Johnston) Anderson, Lee (Dawn) Anderson, Kevin Anderson; grandchildren, Nathan Johnston, Lee Johnston, Tyler Anderson, Alyssa Anderson; mother, Marjorie Anderson; siblings Bruce (Jill) Anderson, Ken Anderson, Kim Riley; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Calvary Covenant Church in Stockholm. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Maiden Rock, and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Marie Lund Cemetery in Lund.
