Plum City schools welcome six new staffers

The Plum City School District welcomed six new staff members for the 2012-13 school year that started earlier this month.

PLUM CITY--The Plum City School District welcomed six new staff members for the 2012-13 school year that started earlier this month.

A Herald survey asking about their backgrounds and positions was given to them. Their responses follow:

Josh Bentley

Bentley will be the high school math teacher and the district’s cross country coach. He is a graduate of UW-Superior with a major in math and a minor in coaching.

Nick Essick

The Menomonie native was hired to be the district’s technology education teacher. He will split his time between Plum City in the mornings and Pepin in the afternoons.

Jeff Fahrendorff

Fahrendorff will be the fifth grade teacher at the elementary school. The Ellsworth native comes from a teaching family as both parents, Doug and Judy, taught at Ellsworth and Spring Valley, respectively.

Andrea Haines

Haines, who has student taught in La Crosse and West Salem, and a long-term substitute at Plum City and Elmwood, will be the 4K teacher at the elementary school.

Scott Imrie

Imrie will be the middle school science and high school agriculture teacher. He previously taught agriculture at Delavan-Darion and science at Hudson.

Chealsey Sword

Sword was hired to be the PreK-12 art teacher along with FCSE (Family and Consumer Sciences Education) teacher.
