(Minneapolis, MN) -- A Hennepin County judge is expected to rule this week whether Amy Senser will be released from prison while her criminal vehicular homicide conviction is appealed.
Judge Daniel Mabley ordered Senser to remain in prison while her appeal was heard. The Minnesota Court of Appeals later ruled that Mabley needed to preside over a new hearing on Senser's release and also explain his decision to order her confined, something Mabley did not do during his original ruling.
Senser's attorney says his client is not a flight risk and not likely to commit a serious crime or intimidate witnesses if she got out of prison during the appeal process. Senser is the wife of former Vikings tight end and restaurant/bar owner Joe Senser.
